We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Plumber to join our Water Services team. Reporting to the Supervisor Water Reticulation, this role works collaboratively to support the construction, maintenance and operation of Council’s water and sewerage reticulation infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant and efficient services to the community. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining high customer service standards, protecting the natural environment through responsible water operations, and promoting a strong workplace health and safety culture.


Benefits

  • $68,821 p.a. + super + allowances

About the Role

  • Repair and maintain water and sewer infrastructure

  • Install and service pipelines, hydrants, valves and plumbing assets

  • Assist with job planning, risk assessments and materials procurement

  • Supervise and support apprentices and team activities

  • Maintain safe worksites and accurate maintenance records


Skills & Experience

  • Licensed Provisional Plumber and Provisional Drainer (QBCC)

  • Experience in water and sewer construction and maintenance activities

  • Knowledge of water and sewer infrastructure and associated fittings

  • Sound understanding of WHS requirements and SafePlan procedures

  • Good communication skills with the ability to supervise apprentices and labourers
