Automotive Mechanic

GMR (Granger Mechanical Repairs Pty Ltd) are a leading service provider in the Mining, Rural and Civil industries that offer services in both light and heavy equipment mechanical repairs and maintenance, as well as light and heavy fabrication. GMR have a reputation for excellent customer service and quality workmanship.

 
We are currently seeking trade qualified & experienced Motor Mechanics to join our maintenance team in Central Qld. These positions are situated at Gracemere (township), Moranbah (mine site), Baralaba (mine site) and Blackwater (township).

Granger Mechanical Repairs is an Approved Standard Business Sponsor so this position is open to both Australian Residents and Migrant Workers.

• 7/7 Roster Day shift only

• 5/2 Roster Day shift only

The Successful applicant will possess the following:
• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate/qualifications

• Minimum 2 years extensive experience as a qualified Mechanic

• Standard 11 - or willingness to obtain (assistance can be provided if required)

• Coal Board Medical - or willingness to obtain

• Air Conditioning License - Preferred

• Brake Testing Qualifications - Preferred

• Full Qld Drivers License – HR preferred or willingness to obtain 

• Own transport

• Experience on Toyota 4WD’s, road trucks, lighting plants, generator sets & small earth-moving equipment  - Preferred

• The ability to diagnose and fault find

• Strong focus on safety

• Flexibility with working hours

• The ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment

• Excellent organisational and communication skills

• Clean and tidy work habits

There will be a requirement from time to time to work at other locations
