About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Plumber or Fitter to join our growing team. At Aerofloat, our wastewater treatment plants serve a wide range of industries. No two projects are the same, and you’ll be hands-on across the full lifecycle of installation and commissioning.
Working alongside our Project Engineers and manufacturing team, you will be involved in mechanical plumbing manufacturing, physical installation and fit-out of treatment systems on site. Day-to-day duties will include but are not limited to completing or managing subcontractors:
Running, cutting, and gluing PVC pipework and fittings to specification
Installing stainless steel pipework and associated fittings
Electrofusion and welding of HDPE/poly pipework
Installing pumps, blowers, valves, tanks, and associated mechanical equipment
Pressure testing pipework and systems prior to commissioning
Assisting with mechanical issues during commissioning
About You
Certificate IV in Plumbing, or a related trade qualification
Proven hands-on experience with PVC, stainless steel, and HDPE/poly pipework systems
Electrofusion and/or welding accreditation (desirable)
Experience installing pumps, blowers, valves, and related mechanical plant
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and piping diagrams
Background in wastewater treatment, water infrastructure, or industrial process environments (highly desirable)
Construction Induction (White Card), valid driver’s licence, and own vehicle
Willingness to travel to project sites across NSW and Australia.
