Handyman / Carpenter Wanted – Casual Position with Opportunity to Grow

We are a small family-run business looking for a reliable and motivated handyman, preferably with a carpentry qualification, to join our growing team.

This role will begin as casual work, with the opportunity for increased hours moving toward a more permanent role in the future. Depending on the right fit, this could eventually lead to full-timd subcontract work or full-time employment as the business continues to grow.

Initially, you will work alongside our current handyman/carpenter learning how we operate, our standards, and the variety of work we take on. Over time, once trust and confidence are built, you will have the opportunity to work independently and manage jobs on your own (our Carpenter/ Handyman may still drop by to assist when required, take photos for content etc).

Our current Carpenter/is gradually moving toward retirement over the next 12 months, so we are hoping to find someone who can eventually take over his role. The position involves a little bit of everything, including:

• General handyman work

• Candidates must provide all tools and equipment required for the role

• Carpentry

• Property maintenance

• Repairs

• Renovation works

• Extensions

• Conversions

• Assisting on various jobs as required

We are open to:

• Experienced handymen/tradespeople wanting to fill extra days each week

• Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months to 1 year handyman or carpentry experience

• Qualified carpenters looking for a change of pace

• Someone who has recently completed their carpentry apprenticeship and is eager to continue learning hands-on skills alongside an experienced tradesman

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer sponsorship or apprenticeships at this stage.

Candidates must have current Australian work rights at the time of application.

We are growing quickly and would love to find someone who wants to grow with us long term. We also welcome someone who needs to fill in a few extra days here and there/on their RNR. We are also happy to pay the right person well for their efforts and reliability.
