About the role

REBELT (AUST) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Singleton, NSW. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in our CHPP maintenance team, ensuring efficient and reliable operations. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

What you'll be doing

Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on a variety of CHPP components
Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, and implementing effective solutions
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to guide your work
Collaborating with the wider maintenance team and site representatives to coordinate and prioritise tasks
Maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used
Ensuring a safe work environment by following all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification as a Fitter Machinist or equivalent
Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Mechanical Fitter in a CHPP or similar setting
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and techniques
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience working on pumps, screens, centrifuges and conveyors

Must have

Current drivers licence
Working at heights
Confined space
Flexibility to work overtime during shutdown and breakdown situations
Current order 43/45 Medical
