About Basic Trailers

We’re a proudly Australian-owned trailer manufacturer building high-quality trailers right here in Adelaide.

We operate in a practical, fast-moving manufacturing environment where strong systems, structured processes and continuous improvement help keep our workshop running efficiently.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for someone to work closely with our Workshop Manager and support the day-to-day operation of our workshop.

About the Role

This is a hands-on support role helping keep production organised and running smoothly.

You'll work between the workshop office and workshop floor helping follow up jobs, support systems, identify issues and assist with day-to-day workshop activities.

No two days will look exactly the same. One day you might be helping track production progress, another day assisting with recruitment, following up maintenance items or helping improve systems and processes.

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, likes staying organised and enjoys helping keep things moving.

Key Responsibilities

• Support workshop and production activities
• Follow up delayed or incomplete jobs
• Update and maintain production information and systems
• Assist with production tracking and workflow visibility
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities
• Monitor training progress and records
• Assist with maintenance scheduling and follow-up
• Support KPI tracking and reporting
• Support process and system improvements
• Assist with general workshop coordination activities

What We're Looking For

• Organised and reliable
• Strong follow-through
• Mechanically minded
• Comfortable talking with staff and tradespeople
• Able to manage multiple tasks at once
• Enjoy solving problems
• Happy working between the workshop floor and office
• Comfortable learning new systems and processes
• Full Australian working rights

Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, inventory, production or workshop environments would be highly regarded but not essential.

What Will Set You Apart

• You naturally identify issues before they become bigger problems
• You prefer getting things done rather than waiting to be asked
• You enjoy keeping things organised
• You enjoy helping improve systems and processes
• You like variety and being involved in different areas of the business

What We Offer

• Full-time secure position in a growing Australian manufacturing business
• Ongoing training and development
• Opportunity to grow within the business
• Structured systems and established processes
• Monthly breakfasts, catered lunches and staff discounts
• Annual remuneration reviews

How to Apply

Send through your CV and a short cover letter outlining your experience and why you believe you would suit the role.
