Your role and responsibilities

ABB is seeking talented Workshop & Repairs Technician looking for a stable, long‑term career with a global industry leader.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to repair a variety of standard drive units and subassemblies. Each day, you will ensure the best possible and most cost-effective problem resolution. You will also showcase your expertise by executing work as per first-time right approach and ensuring the job is done on time and as per quality standards

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the Motion Services Drives business in WA and NT. Main stakeholders are our key customers in the region.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing workshop orders according to workshop processes and guidelines.

  • Performing workshop tasks such as troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and testing.

  • Checking bill of materials and other documents to identify required parts needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available.

  • Ensuring the completion, processing, and maintenance of all required documentation.


Qualifications for the role


  • Electrical trade qualification with an a Grade A electrician license.

  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience working as a repair technician.

  • Process‑driven mindset with practical experience in 5S and Kaizen methodologies.

  • Hands‑on technical ability with confidence in tool use and troubleshooting.

  • Strong communication skills, including clear reporting and documentation.

  • Current Western Australia forklift license and status as an Australian Permanent Resident or holder of an unrestricted work visa.
