Electrician - Estimator & Coordinator

About the role

Infradeploy is looking for a licensed electrician who is ready to do more than just fieldwork without leaving the tools behind entirely.

This role sits at the intersection of field delivery and program coordination. You will be handling fast-turnaround scoping and quoting for a government maintenance contract, allocating jobs to field technicians, and jumping on site yourself when a small job needs to move quickly. As the business grows into EV charging infrastructure and broader civil and electrical projects, your role will grow with it.

What you will be doing

Coordination and scoping

• Scoping and quoting high-frequency, low-complexity electrical and lighting maintenance jobs for a government client

• Allocating and scheduling field technicians and subcontractors

• Tracking job progress and maintaining accurate records in our job management system Liaising directly with the client on job status, defect reports, and variations

• Supporting the growth of our EV charging and broader infrastructure program as new work comes online

Field delivery

• Attending site for small jobs, commiussioning & urgent defect rectifications

• Electrical installation, maintenance, and fault rectification across public lighting, switchboards, and electrical infrastructure

• Completing SWMS, risk assessments, job sheets, and permit documentation to a high standard

• Ensuring all field works comply with AS/NZS standards and client WHS requirements

About you

You are a licensed electrician who has experience in the field and is now looking for a role with more variety, more responsibility, and a genuine career pathway. You are comfortable with fast-turnaround office work, you take compliance seriously, and you can manage your own workload without being micromanaged.

Essential

• Current NSW Electrical Licence (non-negotiable)

• White Card and current driver’s licence

• Hands-on electrical installation and maintenance experience

• Solid understanding of AS/NZS standards and WHS obligations

• Organised and reliable — comfortable managing multiple jobs at once

Highly regarded

•       Experience working on government or council contracts

•       Background in public lighting, street infrastructure, or EV charging

•       Previous scoping, estimating, or quoting experience

•       Supervisory or subcontractor coordination experience

•       Strong written communication and documentation skills
