We are currently partnering with a well-established European vehicle specialist workshop in Wollongong, known for delivering dealership-level servicing and advanced diagnostics across premium brands including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche.

With a strong reputation for high-quality workmanship, advanced diagnostic capability and exceptional customer service, this business operates as a trusted alternative to dealerships within the Illawarra region.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to bring on an experienced and qualified Mechanic to join their close-knit team of 3 technicians.

Responsibilities

Working in a modern, well-equipped workshop, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out logbook servicing and scheduled maintenance on late-model European vehicles in line with manufacturer standards
  • Completing mechanical repairs across brakes, suspension, engine components and air-conditioning systems
  • Supporting diagnostics and fault finding, using modern diagnostic tools and systems
  • Assisting with electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting, including sensors and control systems
  • Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying underlying issues, not just surface-level repairs
  • Maintaining a strong “first-time fix” approach with high attention to detail
  • Accurately completing job cards, service reports and documentation
  • Working collaboratively within a small, high-performing team

Your Profile

Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent) Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in servicing and repairs Some hands-on diagnostics experience (essential – further training provided) Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship, particularly when working on prestige vehicles Ability to fault-find and think critically, not just replace parts Comfortable working both independently and within a small team environment

Highly desirable:

Experience working on European vehicles (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, VW, Porsche etc.) Background in a dealership or prestige independent workshop Exposure to advanced diagnostics, vehicle programming or modern electrical systems

  • Join a reputable European vehicle specialist workshop
  • Work on premium vehicles in a quality-driven, diagnostic-focused environment
  • Ongoing training and development in diagnostics
  • Supportive, close-knit team of 3 technicians
  • Stable, long-term permanent opportunity

PLEASE NOTE: Full Australian Working Rights & Australian Auto Mechanic Experience is ESSENTIAL. Overseas applicants will not be considered
