About the role

Atherton Bakehouse, a highly regarded local bakery, is seeking a skilled and passionate Qualified baker/pastry chef to join our team in Atherton, Queensland. This full-time role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise and creativity to the continued success of our established business. This role is for day production 6am to 2pm

What you'll be doing

• Producing a diverse range of high-quality breads, pastries, and other baked goods to the highest standards

• Assisting with the development and implementation of new recipes and product innovations

• Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of production

• Collaborating with the wider team to ensure efficient and organised workflow in the bakery

• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior bakers as required

• Contributing to the overall success and growth of the Atherton Bakehouse brand

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in baking or pastry arts, with at least 2-3 years of relevant industry experience

• Demonstrated expertise in a wide range of bread and pastry techniques, with a keen eye for detail and presentation

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• A passion for using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients to create exceptional baked goods

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues

• A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
