Tool Built is a growing carpentry and maintenance business working across high-end residential, commercial, and building maintenance projects.
We’re known for quality workmanship, reliability, and a friendly, professional approach. With plenty of work in the pipeline and exciting plans for 2026-2027, we’re looking for a capable carpenter who wants to be part of our journey.
About the Role: Qualified Carpenter (Sub-Contractor):
We’re after a qualified, confident carpenter who can work both independently and as part of a small, tight-knit crew.
You’ll take on a variety of carpentry tasks across Melbourne — from detailed residential builds to fast-paced maintenance and fit-out work.
You’ll need to be someone who can think on their feet, communicate well, and take pride in producing quality results.
Ongoing work is available for the right person, but we’re also open to flexible, project-by-project arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out carpentry work to a high standard, following best practice at all times
Read and interpret drawings and plans accurately
Communicate clearly with clients, suppliers, and teammates
Take responsibility for organising and completing multiple small jobs efficiently
Maintain safe work practices and uphold company standards on every site
Support and mentor apprentices or developing team members when required
Requirements and renumeration:
Weekly pay: Invoices are paid Friday each week
Must have a drivers licence + reliable vehicle (Able to travel all across Melbourne)
Must have a full tool kit
Must be reliable, punctual and professional
Must work well in a team environment and independently
Must have a willingness to learn and assist in supporting other employees
Must have own ABN + insurance
Proof of carpentry qualification
Negotiated hourly rate $ reflective of skills, experience, tools & vehicle
