Due to continued expansion in the greater Launceston area, we are seeking to appoint a Leading Hand Carpenter to assist our existing team to undertake a large number of projects, expected to take several years to complete, including the redevelopment of several iconic and historical buildings.

With over 30 employees and decades of industry experience, JMC Property Group provides stable ongoing employment in the construction sector. About you

We are looking for enthusiastic, professional, reliable and self-motivated team players. You will need strong attention to detail and the dedication to see projects through to completion.

Experience required:

Carpenters will need a minimum of two years of experience post trade as a Carpenter, including residential, commercial, and industrial construction, from formwork to final fit-out.

You can also demonstrate that you have:

Relevant qualifications and current licences including a white card
Demonstrated experience in and extensive knowledge of the building industry
A strong work ethic
A broad range of trade skills and a hands-on approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team
A confident and positive attitude
An ability to problem solve and take initiative on site
Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to Workplace Health & Safety principles and practices.
