Job Description:

Ideally, we are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician who has worked with generators, however if you are looking for change and want to learn something new then we would still love to hear from you.

As an Electrician at Genelite you will be working with various models of generators in our Salisbury workshop, from compliance through to pre-delivery and an occasional installation. You will need to be detail oriented, safety conscious and can troubleshoot when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and generators.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with generators, alternators, and control systems.

  • Ensure all electrical and generator work complies with industry codes and safety standards.

  • Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

  • Provide emergency generator support during outages or system failures.

  • Be able to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Stay updated on new generator technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Electrician Australia.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuit troubleshooting.

  • Carry out Generator electrical pre delivery, compliance and upfits as required.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Primarily a workshop role but available to travel if required.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow OHS guidelines.

  • White Card, or willing to obtain.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

An Added Advantage:

  • Experience with automatic transfer switches (ATS) and control systems.

  • Knowledge in generator maintenance and repair.

  • Knowledge of national and local electrical codes.

  • Experience working in emergency power systems for critical facilities (e.g., hospitals, data centres).

  • Generator Synchronization with Deep Sea and ComAp controllers.

  • Forklift License
