Qualified Commercial Plumber

Black Diamond Building & Construction is looking for experienced, qualified plumbers to join our team full-time.

We are seeking plumbers who can work independently and take ownership of the complete plumbing package across our commercial construction projects.

 

About the role

As part of our internal team, you will be involved in the plumbing scope from planning through to completion. This will include reviewing drawings, completing take-offs, ordering materials, coordinating works on site and carrying out the installation.

We are looking for someone who understands commercial construction, can think ahead, and is confident making practical decisions on site.

 

Duties will include

• Commercial plumbing, drainage, civil and hydraulic works

• Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications

• Completing material take-offs, ordering materials, and coordinating deliveries

• Planning works in line with site programs and coordinating with supervisors, project managers, and other trades

• Identifying issues early and providing practical solutions

• Completing works safely, efficiently and to a high standard

• Competent with testing, inspections, and handover requirements

 

What we’re looking for

• Qualified plumber with current Queensland licence

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial plumbing

• Proven experience with commercial hydraulic systems

• Proven experience with civil plumbing works

• Certified and experienced in the installation of fire hydrants, hose reels, and associated fire services

• Ability to read plans and complete take-offs & confident ordering materials and planning works

• Able to work independently and manage your own workload

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport

• Organised, reliable, and proactive
