About the role

Clarks Mining Services is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Unanderra, NSW. This full-time role is responsible for the fabrication and welding of high-quality mining equipment and components. As a key member of our Trades & Services team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes.

What you'll be doing

  1. Perform a variety of welding tasks, including MIG and some TIG

  2. Fabricate and assemble mining equipment and parts according to specifications

  3. Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders

  4. Operate and maintain a range of metalworking equipment, such as grinders, cutters, and rollers

  5. Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality and safety standards

  6. Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement process improvements

  7. Maintain a clean and organised work environment

  8. Workshop based, all tools provided, own bench space provided

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Welder/Fabricator in metal manufacturing

  2. Proficient in MIG, TIG, and oxy cutting techniques in light and heavy material

  3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  4. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  5. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

  6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  7. Certification in relevant welding and fabrication qualifications
