Kickstart your career in a hands-on trade with a full-time Airconditioning and Refrigeration Apprenticeship based in Green Fields, proudly offered by Skillinvest. If you're mechanically and/or electrically minded, love tinkering with small motors, and enjoy solving practical problems, this is your chance to gain valuable on-the-job experience while working towards a nationally recognized Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration. You'll be supported every step of the way with expert mentoring and real-world learning.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Assist to assemble, install and repair commercial refrigeration equipment
• Carry out routine checks and logs
• Assist in verification of purchased/supplied equipment
• Test systems for malfunctions, diagnose problems and perform maintenance on equipment
• Learn all stages of refrigeration from design to diagnosis

IS THIS YOU?

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Interested in hands on practical work
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Have a Construction Induction White Card
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport

For over 30 years, our host employer has been providing customers in and around Adelaide with comprehensive commercial refrigeration and freezer equipment including design and installation solutions and maintenance.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION

To be eligible to receive an Apprenticeship or Traineeship and the government funding, candidates must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia. New Zealand citizens must have resided in Australia for over 6 months to be eligible.
