Yard Hand & Plant Mechanic

HEXhire is a fast growing plant hire business in South Australia. We currently have over 100 items of plant that are out on hire in the Civil/Construction industry all over South Australia. We have gained an exceptional reputation by offering our clients low hourly rates, latest model plants/machinery and an excellent service. We are are looking for an experienced Mechanic and an "all-round" yard hand to join our workshop team and assist with the maintenance, services and repairs of plant and company owned vehicles.

Your new role

Within this position you will be required to undertake daily operations including diagnosing, maintenance, major/minor service, repairs and detailing on all plant which consists of Excavators, Skid steers, Trucks, Site Dumpers etc. 

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant trade experience

• Motivated and reliable

• Customer Service

• Previous experience maintaining, repairing and servicing various heavy Plant and equipment

• Welding experience preferable 

• Ability to work independently

• Strong focus on safety and quality

• Industry supporting references

• Current Drivers license – opportunities are available to obtain a HR license

• Great communication skills and a positive attitude

• Flexibility in terms of work hours due to some sites requiring later services on site
