AUTO INGRESS PTY LTD is seeking a full-time Carpenter to join our Brisbane-based manufacturing and technical team.

Auto Ingress is the largest Australian-owned manufacturer of automatic door operators in Australia and a national leader in access and entry solutions. We specialise in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of high-quality automatic entry systems, including sliding and swing door solutions for commercial, industrial and public environments.

Our products are designed and manufactured in compliance with relevant Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia, ensuring safety, reliability and performance.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, renovating and repairing structures and fixtures using timber, plywood, wallboard and other building materials across a range of residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Study drawings, plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.

• Measure, order and select timber and other building materials.

• Prepare layouts and mark out construction work.

• Cut, shape and assemble materials according to specifications.

• Construct and erect frameworks and wall systems.

• Install sub-flooring, floorboards, door frames, window frames and external cladding.

• Verify alignment, levels and structural accuracy of completed work.

• Assemble and install timber structures and fittings.

• Cut and prepare timber joints and finishes.

• Carry out repair and maintenance work on existing structures and fittings.

• Work with a variety of materials including timber, plastic laminates, Perspex and metal components.

Requirements

• AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.

• Construction White Card

• Current Police Check

• Current driver's licence.

• Demonstrated experience as a Carpenter.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

Employment Details

Salary: $76,000 – $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
