Trade Qualified Painters

About the role.

Metroscope Painting is seeking Trade Qualified Painters for short term contract work (6-14 weeks) in a coastal tourist destination in regional WA. We are looking to fill Leading Hand, Qualified Painter, and Brush Hand positions.

What this role involves.

• Prepare surfaces for painting including dusting, washing, scraping, sanding, covering and masking.

• Apply coatings to various external & internal surfaces including walls, ceilings, handrails, doors & frames.

• Apply paints using brush, roller, and sprayer where appropriate.

• Maintain tools and equipment.

• Be conscious of all relevant health, safety and environmental practices.

• Work well in a team under instruction from Metroscope's Painting Supervisor.

What we are looking for.

• Certificate III in Painting & Decorating (excl. Brush Hands).

• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials and equipment.

• Experience using brush, roller, and spray gun.

• Experience on commercial & construction sites.

• Experience working with membranes and two-pack paint systems.

• Eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

• Pressure cleaning experience a bonus.

• White Card a bonus.

• WAH & EWP license a bonus.
