Refrigeration Mechanic

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team at Impact Refrigeration P/l in Melbourne, VIC. As a Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide range of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the growth of our reputable company.

What you'll be doing

• Full time position

• Negotiable hourly rate

• Melbourne CBD & Surrounds

• Qualifications must include Refrigerant Handling License & D Permit

• Install new refrigeration systems according to specifications and industry standards

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing on coolrooms, freezer rooms, commercial refrigeration units, ice machines and Glycol systems

• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions

• Will be part of an On Call roster providing 24/7 breakdown service

• Comply with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

• Fully maintained company vehicle will be included

• What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in Commercial refrigeration, such as a Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

• Experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic, preferably in a commercial setting

• Extensive knowledge of refrigeration systems, including installation, maintenance and troubleshooting

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
