Our business has been in operation since 1974.  Over this time we have established ourselves to be a leading manufacturer of road tank vehicles, trailers and infrastructure for industries associated with the energy and environmental management sectors.

About the Role

We currently have multiple positions available for Mechanical Fitters based in our Wacol, Queensland manufacturing facility.  An immediate start with overtime available.

You will ideally be able to work with a team to assemble a range of products such as pressure vessels, walkways and ladders, chassis sub-frames, heavy vehicle modifications, transport equipment, and other associated equipment. On-the-job training will be provided. 

Reporting to the Workshop Foreman your responsibilities include; 

• Assembly of heavy vehicle components

• Piping system installation

• Pneumatic control system and hydraulics installation

• Commissioning and testing of completed equipment

• Work as part of a team to ensure projects are delivered on time to a high quality

• Complete quality checks as directed on completed equipment

• Assist in training/guidance of apprentices and trade-assistants

Preferred Skills and experience

• Competent in selection and use of fasteners to bolt-up assemblies

• Assembly of screwed and flange piping systems

• Routing and installation of pneumatic controls

• Trade Qualified (Certificate III)

• Supply of basic hand tools suitable for the task required

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with heavy vehicle operation

• Hydraulics 

• Basic welding ability in MIG & TIG processes

• Heavy vehicle license 

• High Risk work license for Forklift
