About the role
A heritage-listed boutique Hotel in Sydney CBD is seeking an experienced Painter to join our team on a casual basis.

This role offers the opportunity to work with our experienced Maintenance Manager in a small and friendly team.  As a Painter you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional results for our diverse range of hotel and Club’s facilities.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as required

2. Applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces

3. Ensuring a clean, safe, and organised work environment

4. Collaborating with the team to provide outstanding customer service

5. Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and quality standards

6.      Select and mix paints, stains, primers and sealants

7.      Minor carpentry and wall re-sheeting as required

8.      Rendering and surface preparation for tiling

9.      Ensuring all work areas are left clean, safe, and presentable

What we're looking for

1. 2+ years of experience as a Painter/Tiler, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work

2. Valid Australian work authorisation is required for this position

3. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy

4. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently and unsupervised

5. Good verbal  and written communication skills and a collaborative, customer-focused approach

6. Familiarity with various painting /tiling techniques and the ability to use a range of tools and equipment
