About the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced
Mechanical Tradesperson with a background in civil works and hydrotesting to join our project team. This role will involve working across mechanical installations, supporting civil activities, and executing hydrotesting in line with project and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities - Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and piping systems
- Read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications
- Support civil works including trenching, backfilling, and equipment foundations
- Prepare and execute hydrostatic testing (hydrotesting) activities
- Install and monitor test equipment such as pumps, gauges, and valves
- Identify and report leaks, defects, or non-conformances during testing
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with QA/QC standards
- Adhere to site safety procedures, permits, and risk assessments
- Complete required documentation including test reports and inspection records
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades
Requirements - Mechanical Trade Qualification (Cert III or equivalent)
- Proven experience in piping, mechanical installations, and hydrotesting
- Exposure to civil works within construction or oil & gas projects
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Strong understanding of safety standards and worksite compliance
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and meet project deadlines
Desirable - Experience in oil & gas or heavy industrial projects
- High Risk Work Licence (e.g., Dogging, Rigging, Forklift)
- Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets
- Valid driver's licence
