About the Role

Porter Plant is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Heavy Mechanical team at our busy Dry Creek Workshop. You’ll work primarily on trucks, civil and road maintenance equipment.

Your day-to-day will be scheduled by our Branch Manager, giving you the freedom to focus on what you do best—preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and servicing across a diverse fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance efficiently

  • Diagnose faults across a range of equipment

  • Conduct servicing at required intervals

  • Work independently with minimal supervision

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures

What You’ll Need

  • Heavy Diesel Mechanical Trade Qualification (Essential)

  • Valid car licence (HR & forklift licence desirable)

  • Strong planning and organisational skills

  • Excellent communication and ability to work autonomously
