AUTO ELECTRICIAN

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team at Leamans Auto Electrics and Mechanical. As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of electrical and AC systems in a variety of vehicles/machinery. This is a full-time role you will based in our Belmont, WA 6104 workshop, with some travel as we offer a mobile service.

Permanent residency status is required for this position.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems in cars, trucks, heavy machinery and other vehicles.

• Experience working with all vehicle types including cars, trucks, boats and other commercial vehicles is essential.

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with electrical components, wiring, batteries and other electrical systems.

• A/C servicing and repairs.

• Performing scheduled maintenance and inspections on vehicle electrical systems

• Attending to call-outs & breakdowns

• Communicating with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions

• Maintaining detailed records of work completed using our app

• Adhering to all relevant safety standards and procedures

• Possible weekend work.

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Auto Electrics or a related field .

• A current ARC licence is required for air conditioning work.

• Certificate III Auto Electrical is required as the minimum formal qualification.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Auto Electrician

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Ability to navigate the metro area effectively using GPS for mobile service delivery.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Commitment to safety and quality of work
