ABOUT THE ROLE

  • The shift pattern is a 7-day fortnight roster
  • Night Shift - 6:00pm to 6:00am
  • You must be available to work every second weekend

 

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Fitter is responsible for ensuring all plant and machinery is maintained in a safe, compliant, and efficient condition to provide production with maximum machinery availability.  In addition, you will be responsible for communicating all plant & machinery issues to the Maintenance Supervisor, along with any initiatives to improve efficiency. The role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, the ability to problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment. 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Tasks as per the weekly schedule. 
  • Decrease the duration of all downtimes by rectifying them as quickly as possible, in a safe manner.
  • Actively monitor waste, attributable to plant and equipment, and immediately report to the Shift Manager and Maintenance Supervisor, any instance where it exceeds standard.  
  • Monitor and manage your work areas to ensure that tools and supplies are well organised and, where applicable, are stored in the appropriate area when not in use. 
  • At all times, ensure that all food safety, hygiene and housekeeping standards are met or exceeded BRC, HACCP and GMP.   
  • Assist the Engineering Department to meet deadlines with the installation of new projects and improvements to current Plant & Machinery.
  • CMMS knowledge such as MEX is advantageous.
