About the role

Join the team at Clarke Diesel as a full-time Auto Electrician in Cairns, QLD. You will be responsible for providing expert electrical services and maintenance for a range of commercial and light , and heavy vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills and knowledge in a supportive team environment.

What you'll be doing

1. Diagnose, repair and maintain the electrical systems of vehicles including cars, trucks and machinery

2. Essential experience with heavy vehicle electrical systems required

3. Minimum 3-5 years of heavy vehicle electrical systems experience is required

4. Perform scheduled servicing and inspections to ensure optimal electrical performance

5. Install, test and commission new electrical components and accessories

6. Maintain accurate records and provide detailed reports on work completed

7. Collaborate with the broader vehicle maintenance team to ensure seamless service delivery

8. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards

What we're looking for

1. Formal qualification in Auto Electrical or Automotive Electrical Engineering

2. Any recognised auto electrical qualification will be accepted

3. Certificate III Auto Electrical qualification is required

4. Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting

5. Minimum 5+ years of auto electrical experience required

6. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and fix complex electrical issues

7. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure

8. Good communication skills to liaise with customers and team members

9. A strong commitment to safety and quality standards

10. Australian citizenship required for this position
