Are you an overseas-qualified electrician looking to gain valuable Australian experience while working towards your local licence?
We are currently seeking Overseas Qualified Electricians and experienced Electrical Trade Assistants for multiple commercial projects across Melbourne, with starts available from mid to late June.
Whether you're looking for long-term project work or an opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of commercial environments, we have several projects commencing across metro Melbourne.
Current & Upcoming Projects Include:
âš¡ Commercial new build developments
âš¡ Commercial refurbishment and renovation projects
âš¡ Restaurant and hospitality fit-outs throughout Melbourne CBD
âš¡ Data and communications fit-outs in Melbourne's western suburbs
âš¡ Mechanical electrical and refrigeration installation projects
Duties May Include:
- Assisting licensed electricians on commercial installations
- Cable pulling, cable tray and containment installation
- Fit-off and electrical labouring duties
- Supporting mechanical electrical and refrigeration trades
- Data and communications installation works
- General trade assistant responsibilities across commercial construction sites
What's On Offer:

Requirements:
- Overseas electrical qualification equivalent to Australian electrical trade standards
- Applicants must have completed a formal electrical apprenticeship/trade qualification in their country of origin that aligns with Australian electrical trade training requirements
- Previous experience working as a qualified electrician overseas
- White Card
- Ability to work safely on commercial construction sites
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Full Australian working rights
Mechanical Electrical & Refrigeration Project:Candidates assigned to the Mechanical Electrical & Refrigeration project must hold a valid Scissor Lift (EWP) Ticket or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement. This requirement does not apply to all positions.
Please Note:This opportunity is intended for genuinely qualified overseas electricians whose trade qualifications are comparable to Australian standards. Applicants without a recognised electrical trade qualification or relevant industry experience may not be suitable for these positions.
