About the Role
Southern Contracting Group Pty Ltd is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for a full-time position located in Lameroo SA 5302. This full-time position will be remunerated according to experience.
The position will be performing mechanical repair for machinery, equipment and vehicles. The position is also responsible for ensuring that all equipment is maintained and in good order to prevent breakdowns and stoppages. Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on a variety of vehicles.
Tasks as follows:
1. Performs minor and major repair of all types of vehicles.
2. Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.
3. Calibrates and repairs systems.
4. Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
5. May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems.
6. Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
7. Obtains estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Qualified Diesel Mechanic
2. At least 3 years of experience.
3. Excellent communication skills.
