The Role

Expressway Spares is looking for a full-time Mechanical Trades Assistant to join our team in our modern, purpose-built workshop in High Wycombe. 

Main responsibilities include:

• General Forklift Operation

• Assist Mechanical Fitters when required

• Wash parts from stripped components

• Sort parts before and after crack tests

• Work between our components, engine and hydraulic sections

• Component and cylinder stand management

• Workshop cleaning and general maintenance

• General pressure cleaning

• General yard maintenance as required

Required

• Mechanical aptitude

• Current forklift ticket

• Valid Driver’s License

• National Police Certificate (also known as a National Police Check)

• Ability to attend a pre-employment medical assessment

Desired

• Knowledge of earthmoving equipment

• Any mechanical related vocational training

• Know your way around a car or 4WD

• Current dogging/rigging ticket

• Knowledge of industry safety protocols

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

• Team player with a positive attitude to your work
