About the role
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team at the Rocky Point Sugar Mill in Woongoolba, QLD. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing the equipment and machinery that is essential to our operations.
Roster (Standard Hours, Subject to change) & allowances
Dayshift 7am-3pm Monday-Saturday
Afternoon Shift 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday +12.5% on base rate
Night Shift 11pm-7am Monday-Friday +15% on base rate
Overtime loading (150% - 225%)
$58 weekly allowance
What You’ll Do
Install, calibrate, and maintain critical electrical equipment to keep operations running smoothly. Troubleshoot and optimise integrated systems to reduce downtime and improve performance. Keep accurate plans, databases, and documentation to support efficient and compliant operations. Commission and fine-tune electrical systems for reliable, high-level performance. Diagnose and resolve issues across complex control systems, including electrical, pneumatic, electronic and mechanical components. Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Promote and uphold strong safety practices, actively supporting safety improvement efforts. Adhere to all health, safety and environment policies and procedures.
What we're looking for
You must hold a current Queensland electrical licence
Preferred HV switching (not essential)
Experience with LV motor control and PLC systems
Cert III or IV instrumentation (or experience with instrumentation is highly valued)
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, and manuals
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve equipment issues
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Current Low voltage and CPR certification.
