Welder Fabricator

Due to continued business growth, Urban Cranes is seeking a motivated and experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team at our Landsdale facility.

This role will involve the fabrication, repair, modification, and maintenance of tower crane components, lifting equipment, structural steelwork, and associated plant and equipment. You will work closely with our engineering, service, and operations teams to ensure all fabrication work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely, and enjoys being part of a growing and professional team.

About You:

To be successful, you must:

• Hold a Construction White Card (mandatory)

• Hold a current driver's licence (mandatory)

• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Fabricator, or Welder (preferred)

• Demonstrated welding and fabrication experience

• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings

• Experience working with structural steel and heavy equipment

• Competent in MIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding processes

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies

• Maintain a clean and organised work area

• Excellent communication skills

• High reliability and strong work ethic

• Positive attitude and willingness to assist across multiple areas of the business

 

Highly Regarded but Not Mandatory:

• Experience with crane, lifting, mining, transport, or heavy plant industries

• Forklift licence

• EWP licence

• Dogging or Rigging licence

• Experience with hydraulic and mechanical repairs

• Experience with oxy cutting, gouging, and heavy fabrication work
