Experienced Fitter - Fabrication, Welding & Sheet Metal
Location: Wundowie, WA
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
Hours: 38-hour week + overtime available
Rate: $45.61 per hour + Superannuation + Overtime Penalties
An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation based in Wundowie. This is a permanent position within a busy fixed plant environment supporting food production operations.
We are seeking a hands-on tradesperson with extensive experience in fabrication, welding, and sheet metal work, who enjoys working within a manufacturing environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair and modification of fixed plant equipment
• Fabrication and installation of components and structures
• Welding of mild steel, stainless steel and associated materials
• Sheet metal fabrication and repair work
• Fault finding and preventative maintenance activities
• Working safely and effectively within a production environment
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site

About You

• Trade qualified Fitter (or equivalent trade qualification)
• Extensive experience in fabrication, welding and sheet metal work
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing fixed plant environment
• Food production or food manufacturing experience highly regarded
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Reliable, safety-focused and capable of working independently
• Willingness to work overtime when required
