Experienced Solar Installer / Roofer

HIB Electrical, Air & Solar is seeking an experienced Solar Installer to join our growing Solar Division.

The ideal candidate will have experience installing residential and commercial solar systems and be confident working safely at heights. For applicants without solar experience, we would also love to hear from experienced roofers or roof plumbers looking to transition into the renewable energy industry.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Southern Tasmania's leading Electrical, Air Conditioning & Solar businesses, with long-term career progression and the potential for an Electrical Apprenticeship for the right candidate.

About the Role:

You'll work alongside our experienced electricians and solar installers delivering residential and commercial solar and battery projects across Southern Tasmania.

Duties will include:

• Solar panel installation

• Roof preparation and mounting systems

• Working safely at heights

• Assisting with battery installations

• General site setup and material handling

• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety

• Supporting our electrical and solar teams on projects

No electrical experience is required. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Experience working on roofs or in the construction industry

• Comfortable working at heights

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Good physical fitness

• Current Driver's Licence

• Ability to work well within a team

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Highly Regarded

• Roofing or roof plumbing experience

• Solar installation experience

• White Card

• EWP or Working at Heights tickets

• Experience using power tools and construction equipment
