We are currently seeking a qualified Electrician to join our maintenance team on a full-time basis.
This is a great opportunity for an electrician who wants to expand their experience in a large-scale production environment and build capability in automation and PLC-controlled systems.
In this role, you will maintain and repair electrical equipment across the site, support plant reliability and uptime, and contribute to plant upgrades, automated systems, and critical infrastructure projects. You’ll be part of a hands-on maintenance team and will have the opportunity to grow your technical skills in a modern industrial environment.
Key responsibilities
Work with electrical controls and gain exposure to automation and PLC-based equipment
Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime and maintain plant performance
Assist with the installation, testing and commissioning of state-of-the-art equipment, systems and plant upgrades
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation to support maintenance activities
Ensure work is completed safely and in line with site procedures while maintaining accurate records and supporting the broader maintenance team
Carry out routine maintenance, servicing and repairs to electrical systems, motors, drives and production equipment
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A current Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification
Experience in an industrial, manufacturing or commercial environment (highly regarded)
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
An interest in developing your skills in automation, controls and PLC systems
A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
The ability to work rotating rosters, including weekends
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
A current driver’s licence
Flexibility to participate in a rotating roster that offers additional earning potential
