4WD Light Vehicle Mechanic

Seeking a passionate light vehicle mechanic for an ongoing temp to perm opportunity

Your new company

We are looking for a qualified and motivated 4WD Light Vehicle Mechanic to join a growing workshop specialising in off‑road vehicles, mechanical repairs, and custom upgrades. You'll work on a variety of 4WDs, from daily drivers to heavily modified touring and off‑road builds.



Your new role

• Diagnose, service, and repair 4WD and light vehicles
• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, suspension, etc.)
• Install and upgrade 4WD accessories (bull bars, winches, lift kits, 12V systems)
• Conduct fault-finding using diagnostic tools
• Carry out inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organised workshop
• Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high‑quality work

What you'll need to succeed

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
• Proven experience working on 4WDs or modified vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
• Experience with suspension, driveline, and 12V setups (highly regarded)
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Manual driver's licence
