Service Electrician

About the role

Infradeploy maintains and deploys electrical infrastructure for government and corporate clients across Sydney — street lighting, smartpoles, switchboards, and public electrical assets that communities rely on every day.

We are looking for a licensed electrician who takes safety seriously, communicates well with clients, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time. You will be working as part of a field crew across live public environments, maintaining and repairing some of Sydney's most visible infrastructure.

This is a role for someone who wants stable, interesting work with a growing business — not another short-term contract.

What you will be doing

•       Maintenance, fault rectification, and installation of street lighting, smartpoles, and public switchboards

•       Responding to defect and fault callouts across government-managed assets in Sydney

•       Working safely in live public environments — traffic, pedestrians, and occupied sites

•       Completing SWMS, risk assessments, job sheets, and permit documentation accurately and on time

•       Communicating professionally with council representatives, site supervisors, and the public when required

•       Supporting the field crew with installations and planned maintenance across the program

About you

You are a reliable, safety-focused electrician with experience working in the field on commercial or infrastructure assets. You understand that working for a government client means your conduct on site reflects the business — and you take that seriously. You are comfortable working in a crew, following direction, and also backing yourself when something doesn't look right.

Essential

•       Current NSW Electrical Licence

•       White Card and current driver's licence

•       Solid hands-on experience in electrical installation and maintenance

•       Strong understanding of WHS obligations and safe work practices

•       Professional and reliable — strong attendance and punctuality

Highly regarded

•       ASP Level 2 Accreditation

•       EWP (Elevated Work Platform) licence

•       Traffic Control Certificate

•       Experience with street lighting, smartpoles, or public electrical infrastructure

•       Government or council contract experience

•       Confined space or working at heights certification
