About the role

We are seeking a motivated Underground Miner L1 – Truck to join our underground operations team, supporting the safe and efficient movement of materials across site. In this hands-on role, you’ll be operating haulage trucks in a fast-paced underground environment where safety, teamwork, and reliability are critical to daily success.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or further their underground mining career, working on a stable roster with ongoing training and development. You’ll be part of a supportive crew that values safety, continuous improvement, and doing the job right the first time in a challenging but rewarding environment.

  • Roster: 7/7 (Rotating Day/Night)

  • Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW

Travel options

  • Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate underground haulage trucks in accordance with site procedures and production requirements

  • Carry out pre-start checks and daily inspections to ensure equipment is safe, clean, and operational

  • Support underground mining activities by following instructions from supervisors and working as part of a team

  • Adhere to all site safety standards, procedures, and underground mining regulations at all times

  • Promptly report hazards, defects, and equipment issues to maintain a safe and efficient work environment

  • Participate in ongoing training and development to build skills and meet competency requirements for the role

Qualifications and experience

  • Previous experience in a similar underground mining or heavy equipment operating role

  • Strong commitment to safety and alignment with site values and continuous improvement culture

  • Unencumbered manual C Class driver’s licence

  • Ability to work effectively in an underground environment

  • Experience operating heavy equipment (underground mining experience highly regarded)
