We are a locally owned and growing Civil Construction company delivering major projects across the Northern Territory. Our work includes bulk and detailed earthworks, bridge construction, stormwater drainage, stabilisation and quarrying.
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters / Heavy Plant Mechanics to join our Darwin-based team. Occasional remote NT work may be required.
About the Role
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy earthmoving, road transport and quarry equipment, including:
Fault finding & diagnostics
Repairs and breakdown response
Preventative maintenance & servicing
Completing service reports & parts identification
Supporting apprentices when required
You will work on equipment from leading brands including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Terex, Sandvik, Western Star, Mack and Kenworth.
Experience using diagnostic systems such as Cat SIS, Cat ET and Cummins Insite will be highly regarded.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Trade qualification as Heavy Diesel Fitter / Plant Mechanic (or equivalent experience)
Experience with heavy mobile plant and/or road transport
Current Driver’s Licence
Construction White Card
Own tools up to ¾ drive
Strong commitment to safety
Highly Regarded:
Diagnostic & computer skills
Basic automotive electrical knowledge
Ability to work independently
Strong work ethic and team attitude
