Security Officer – Defence, Construction, & Infrastructure Sites

Gatehouse Security | Construction & Infrastructure Projects | Day & Night Shifts Available

At FSR Group Services, we're trusted by construction companies, businesses, and sites across South Australia because we deliver real security — stopping theft, catching offenders, and taking full ownership of the sites and alarms we cover.

FSR is seeking professional and reliable Security Officers to join our team working across defence and critical infrastructure projects throughout Adelaide.

What you'll be doing:

  • Duties may include:

    • Managing vehicle and pedestrian access points

    • Verifying personnel, contractors, and visitors entering site

    • Gatehouse administration and record keeping

    • Monitoring site activity and reporting incidents

    • Conducting foot patrols as required

    • Responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies

    • Maintaining compliance with site security requirements

    • Providing professional customer service to site personnel and visitors

    • Completing reports and site documentation

These sites are governed by strict security protocols, access control requirements, and client procedures that must be followed at all times. We are seeking officers who take pride in their work, understand the importance of maintaining security standards, and can be relied upon to consistently perform at a high level.

Successful applicants will demonstrate:

  • Exceptional reliability and punctuality

  • Professional presentation and communication skills

  • Strong observation and situational awareness

  • The ability to follow procedures without shortcuts

  • Confidence working independently

This role is best suited to candidates who are serious about a career in security and understand the importance of professionalism in client-facing environments.

Requirements

  • To be considered, applicants must:

    • Hold a current South Australian Security Licence

    • Hold a current White Card

    • Ability to undergo security clearance and suitability screening as required.

    • Hold a current Driver's Licence and reliable transport

    • Have excellent communication skills

    • Be capable of working independently

    • Be available for both day and night shifts, including weekends where required

    • Have full Australian working rights

  • Desirable:

    • Previous gatehouse security experience, Construction site security experience, Defence or critical infrastructure experience, Current First Aid Certificate, Experience with access control or visitor management systems
