Well-established Australian owned company operating for 70 + years would like to give an opportunity for a suitable person to join a manufacturing team in our Warriewood based workshop.
QUALIFICATIONS / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE BUT NOT NECESSERY
o Australian recognized Trade Qualification as a First-Class Machinist
o CNC operator and programmer with over 3 years of experience.
o Programming experience with SolidWorks software
o Programming experience with ESPRIT or similar software
o Experience with DMG MORI 5-axis machines or similar.
o Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency s required for this position
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Programming/setting & operating various CNC machines for production of specialised metal components
o Understand/read technical drawings and specifications
o Perform inspections to ensure conformance
o Review CAM-generated toolpaths and optimise cycle times
o Troubleshoot machine issues, tool wear, and alarms
o Collaborate with production supervisor & staff to improve workflow
o Maintaining tight tolerances.
o Use and understanding of precision measuring tools (e.g. micrometres, vernier callipers and other CMM equipment) to verify accuracy and quality
o Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and production schedules.
o Willingness to learn and adapt within a fast-paced, collaborative workshop environment.
