About the role

We are seeking a Qualified Carpenter to join our team at MELBOURNE BUILT CO P/L in Cheltenham VIC 3192. This is a full-time position on wages or contracting on a sub-contract basis, an immediate start is preferred, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality carpentry services to our residential and commercial clients.

What you'll be doing

Lead and oversee daily carpentry work on residential and commercial projects
Supervise and mentor apprentices and tradespeople on-site
Interpret and work from technical plans and specifications
Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors and office staff to ensure smooth workflow
Maintain a safe, compliant, and productive worksite
Ensure quality control across all aspects of the build

What we're looking for

Qualified carpenter with a Cert III in Carpentry
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to read plans and manage timelines
Physically fit and safety-focused
Reliable, professional, and team-oriented is a must.
