Swetha International is recruiting qualified Electricians to join a large rail and heavy-industry upgrade program supporting Sydney Trains operations.
This is not short shutdown work.
We’re building a dedicated production team for a program involving rolling stock upgrades, electrical systems modernisation, safety systems, and passenger technology.
If you’re tired of chasing short contracts and want stable depot-based work with real longevity, this is your opportunity.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be working as part of a structured technical team delivering:
Electrical maintenance, upgrades and modifications
Fault finding and rectification on complex systems
Installation of auxiliary, safety and communications systems
Electrical commissioning support
Working in depot environments including confined spaces
Following established procedures, scopes and safety systems
This is hands-on electrical work on large assets — not domestic or construction site hopping.
What we need from you
Essential:
Australian Electrical Trade Qualification (Cert III Electrotechnology or equivalent)
Current Australian Electrical Licence
Strong fault-finding skills
Safety-first mindset
Comfortable with physical work and depot environments
Full Australian working rights
Own basic hand tools
Rail-ready or willing to become rail-ready:
RIW card (or willingness to obtain — CAT 3 medical + D&A required)
National Police Check (within the past 6 months)
Highly regarded (not essential):
Rail or rolling stock experience
Heavy industry / mobile plant background
What’s in it for you
Immediate and staged starts available
Large dedicated crews — consistent teams
Sydney metro location
Structured scopes of work (no guessing each day)
Opportunity to remain ongoing after initial project phases
Supported onboarding and compliance assistance
This is one of the rare chances to lock in serious long-term electrical work without bouncing between short contracts.
