The Project
UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.
HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.
The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.
The Role:
We are currently seeking experienced Transmission Stub Setters/Steelfixers to join our Foundations team working on transmission tower builds. You will play a key role in the construction of transmission tower foundations, working within an established crew on large scale infrastructure projects.
This will be on a FIFO/DIDO basis on a 14:7 roster, based in camp at Tarcutta, NSW. All flights, accommodation and meals provided to you.
