With a rapidly growing pipeline of projects, Hort Enterprises is expanding. We are seeking qualified, quality-focused Boilermakers to join our busy, well-equipped heavy fabrication workshop facility in Orange, NSW.

Your Day-to-Day:

Working in a dynamic workshop environment, you will execute high-quality fabrication and repair work to Australian Standards. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Fabrication & Assembly: Reading and interpreting detailed workshop drawings to layout, cut, shape, and assemble heavy structural steel, piping, and plate work.

  • Welding & Thermal Cutting: Utilising a variety of techniques, predominantly MIG, oxy-cutting and Plasma cutting.

  • Equipment Operation: Safely setting up and operating standard workshop machinery, hand tools, and computerised/programmable fabrication tools.

  • Mentorship: Maintaining a strict safety and quality focus, while occasionally guiding and mentoring apprentices on the workshop floor.

What You Bring:

  • A trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent).

  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-trade experience as a Boilermaker or Metal Fabricator.

  • The ability to confidently fabricate straight from workshop drawings with high accuracy.

  • A hardworking, honest, and reliable approach with a positive, team-first attitude.
