Service Technician – Melrose Park

About the Role: We are looking for a qualified and reliable Service Technician to join our automotive workshop at Melrose Park. This is a full-time role focused on the repair, maintenance, and inspection of various passenger and commercial vehicles. You will work in a high volume environment where technical accuracy and efficiency are our top priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Standard Servicing: Carry out regular logbook services exactly as the manufacturer requires. This includes full safety checks, changing engine oil and filters, and checking all fluid levels.

• Parts Replacement: Check and replace everyday wear-and-tear parts like air filters, spark plugs, belts, and wiper blades to keep cars running well.

• Brakes and Tyres: Inspect and repair brake systems, change pads and rotors, rotate tyres, and set correct tyre pressures during every service.

• Fault Finding: Use diagnostic tools to find mechanical and electrical problems and reset service lights.

• Paperwork: Keep clear and accurate records of all work done. This helps us provide honest reports to customers and keep our own files organised.

• Safety: Follow all workshop safety rules and make sure every vehicle is safe to drive before it leaves the bay.

What You Need

• Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).

• Licensing: A current, valid Manual Driver’s License.

• Experience: Experience working in a busy shop and using standard workshop tools.

• Knowledge: A good understanding of how engines work and how to follow maintenance schedules.
