Hygiene Service Cleaning Technician

Jaymak Canberra provides a high standard of commercial and industrial cleaning that ensures safe environments for facilities handling food and distribution such as Hospitals, Aged Care, Hotels and other similar businesses.

The role will suit someone with an attention to detail and the ability to work varying hours across Canberra region including some regional NSW.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional hygiene cleaning service to new and existing Jaymak customers.

The key responsibilities are:

• Ensuring that proper maintenance and cleaning procedures are followed to our ISO22000 certified standards.

• Performing mould and bacteria contamination control in cool rooms, fridges, dish washers and ice machines

• Cleaning and sanitising Air Handling Units and Air Conditioners.

• Performing detailed kitchen cleaning and sanitising.

• Other general cleaning duties as directed

Skills and Experience

• No previous experience is necessary, full training is provided on the job.

• You must be well presented, reliable and flexible.

• Able to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised.

• This role requires you to work with your hands, show attention to detail and solve problems.

• You must be comfortable working at heights.

• A White (OH&S) Card, Elevated Work Platform Licence, Food Handlers Certificate and a clean Police Check & Working With Children Check is required. First Aid Certificate will be an advantage.

• Full Drivers licence required.

• You must be fully vaccinated (Covid & Flu)

• Own transport

• Police check required (working unsupervised with vulnerable people and Aged Care)
