As a Maintenance Fitter at AKD, you’ll be part of a skilled, hands‑on team that keeps our manufacturing equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you’ll use your technical expertise to solve problems, support production teams, and contribute to continuous improvement across the site.

What you’ll be doing
Leading with an ongoing commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
Carrying out preventative maintenance to keep equipment performing at its peak
Responding to breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime for production teams
Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical faults with accuracy and care
Ensuring all work meets relevant standards and compliance requirements
Planning, organising, and prioritising tasks to support operational needs
Working collaboratively with the broader maintenance team to coordinate activities
What you’ll bring
A Mechanical Trade Certificate
Strong problem‑solving abilities and a practical, solutions‑focused mindset
Confident analytical and communication skills
Basic computer literacy and comfort working with digital systems
A team‑oriented approach and the willingness to support others
