Hands-on Project Manager / Painter — grow with one of SEQ's fastest-growing commercial painting teams
Fidato Coatings is part of the Fidato Services Group — "from rooftop to ground level, and everything in between." We deliver commercial repaints, coatings and remedial work across body corporate, strata and commercial buildings throughout South East Queensland, and we're growing fast.
We're looking for a hybrid Project Manager / Painter — someone who can run painting projects and roll their sleeves up on the tools when needed. It's a genuine mix of leadership and trade.
What you'll do
Manage commercial painting projects from start to finish — scheduling, materials, subcontractors, budgets and client communication
Run sites: set up, supervise crews, keep work on program and to a high standard
Get hands-on with painting and prep when the job calls for it
Keep clients and building managers updated with clear progress reporting
Champion safety on site (SWMS, toolbox talks, quality and defect checks)
What we're looking for
Trade-qualified painter (Cert III Painting & Decorating or equivalent)
Solid commercial painting experience; confident reading scopes, colour schedules and specifications
Commercial painting experience at any level is welcome, from those just starting their career to seasoned professionals
Project management or site supervision experience (or ready to step up)
We welcome candidates with formal project management experience as well as those ready to step up into a project management role
Strong organisation, communication and client-facing skills
White Card and a current driver's licence
A safety-first attitude and an eye for quality finish
Nice to have
Experience with body corporate / strata repaints
Familiarity with SimPro (or similar job-management software)
Height-safety / access awareness
What we offer
$80,000 – $100,000 per year + company vehicle
A varied role with real responsibility and a clear path to grow as we do
A supportive, professional team that backs quality work
Long-term, secure work with a busy pipeline
3-month probationary period applies.
How to apply
Hit Apply with your resume and a short cover note about your painting and project experience. We'll be in touch with shortlisted applicants.
