The Role
You'll work closely with a small, experienced team carrying out component rebuilds and major component change-out projects for underground mining equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys precision work, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality rebuilds to strict industry standards.
What You'll Be Doing
Major component rebuilds and change-out projects
Stripping, inspecting, assessing, and rebuilding mechanical components
Completing detailed reports on findings and parts requirements using company documentation
Reading and interpreting service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
Diagnosing component faults and identifying repair requirements
Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and quality control
Working effectively within a small workshop team to meet project deadlines
What We're Looking For:
Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Qualification (HD Fitter, Plant Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter)
Minimum two years' experience working as a Component Fitter
Experience working on Sandvik, CAT, Dana, and Kessler equipment
Previous underground mining component rebuild experience
Current Australian Driver's License
Full Australian working rights
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
Strong understanding of component disassembly and assembly procedures
Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
Ability to work unsupervised and effectively manage your time to meet scheduled deadlines
Highly motivated, independent, and technically minded approach
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
